By now the story is all over the place… Plaxico Burress “accidentally” shot himself in the thigh. Uh… ok… How do you shoot himself by accident just like that? Frankly he’s been nothing but troubles all year. And unlike before, he’s not exactly producing big numbers on the field. Worst yet for him, the Giants are doing fine without his contribution. I think it’s really time to give up on him. Release him now or put him on IR so you don’t have to worry about him again.

The thing is, Giants’ formula success this year is very clear. They have a great defense and a great running game. That’s how they win. They are the Anti-Cardinals (who pass a lot and don’t run well). And it’s obvious that they don’t need Burress.

The Giants can potentially be without both Burress and Amani Toomer next year. I think they should go out and get themselves a star receiver from free agency so they are not putting all the eggs on the young receivers they have now, even if they are playing well now.
