My position on the upcoming election
October 27th, 2008
I support the Democrats. So that kind of says enough. In any case, I’ll elaborate a little more. McCain is one of the few Repulicans that I’d have some remote possibility of supporting. He doesn’t always stays with the party line on many issues and I always thought he was a no non-sense kinda of guy. I do like him. But I’d never really vote for a Republican. So that’s that…
I’m not a big fan of Obama either though. He’s changed his positions on some things during his campaign. I don’t like that. I’m really sick and tired of politicians playing politics. I want to see government officials actually caring about the people and how to make the country a better place. Obama seems too much of a politician to me to like all that much… even if they are all politicians… Truth be told, if I were an American citizen, I’d probably skip the day and not vote for either one of them. That’ll be my way of saying that I don’t find either qualified to be the president…
But forget about everything I just said… I don’t know how people can vote for McCain for one simple and yet big reason — Palin!!! What a incredibly bad choice for a VP??? Dan Quale seems a far better choice when the comparison is Palin!!! Palin is not qualified for the VP position. Hell, she’s probably not qualified to be Alaska’s governor, even if Alaska doesn’t need much “governing” anyway.
Think about this… McCain is a little old to be running for the president. Imagine if he got elected and 6 months from now he’s got a medical issue that’d force him out of his office. Can you imagine Palin leading the US? Can you even begin to imagine what a disaster that would be? Everyone American with a brain that works should be fearful of that possibility. And hence any sensable person should think hard before voting for McCain.
The world has endured George W. Bush for the last 8 years. We don’t need McCain and Palin even for one day!

Hurray!!
I would seriously consider McCain if not because of his VP choice.
At the end, a lot of comes down to who can sell their ideas better. We can see that Obama is a much better communicator. But, on the other hand, it’s unfortunate that McCain falls back on the old Republican campaign strategy which is outdated in this 21st century. Well, that tells you his worldview and how he might react to events and issues as a president. So, the VP choice and this drove even a lot of Republicans to say they’d vote for Obama.
I don’t blame them.
